The audit showed Langlinais brokered contracts without the council's knowledge, provided free materials and labor to parish residents and received double payments for meals and expenses.
Langlinais pleaded guilty to malfeasance in office last week. He has also agreed to pay $100,000 in restitution to the Iberia Parish Council.
