Looking for person who fled from wreck

On Saturday, May 26th at 9:05 AM I was traveling down Hwy 14 towards Delcambre. In the vicinity of the Racetrack and Lowe's, a guy in a purple Jeep Wrangler with no plate ran into me, throwing me to the other side of the highway. He then kept going. The police could not find him, as he probably turned onto one of the back roads off of Hwy 14. No one who witnessed the accident stopped. I would like to know if anyone could assist me in locating this person. At this time my car is not drivable and needs to be repaired by the person who caused the damage.
