Two charged after Delcambre drug investigation

ERATH — Two Vermilion Parish men were arrested on drug distribution charges Tuesday.

Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon said narcotics agents arrested Adam George, 19, of Delcambre, and Ian Shello, 18, of Erath, following an investigation into drug activity in the Delcambre area.

Couvillon said narcotics agents found 13 Xanax pulls and a small amount of marijuana on Adam George’s person. The drugs had a street value of $120. Agents also recovered $180 in cash.

George was charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute Xanax.

Shello was arrested on warrants for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of Xanax.

Both men were booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail. George’s bond was set at $20,000, while Shello’s was set at $18,000.
