ERATH — Narcotics agents seized prescription drugs and half of a marijuana cigarette during a traffic stop on Louisiana 14 Thursday.

Ray Landry, 47, of Lafayette, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Lortab and Xanax and possession of marijuana.

Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon said an officer with the Erath Police Department stopped Landry for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the officer found 36 Lortab pills, 29 Xanax pills, eight pieces of Xanax and half of a marijuana cigarette, Couvillon said. Couvillon said the drugs had a street value of $450.

Landry was booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail. His bond was set at $31,000.
