Magic Show scheduled Saturday

Magic lovers are invited to a show filled with illusions, marionettes and live animals Saturday at the Sliman Theater.

Presented by magician Glen Ghirardi and sponsored by the New Iberia Parks and Recreation Department, all proceeds will go toward programs hosted by NIRD. NIRD superintendent Tony Migues said the event is geared toward children of all ages. “This is going to be a great opportunity for families to enjoy time together,” he said.

Ghirardi, a professional magician since 1966, has won several awards around the world for his magic act. Most recently, he won an award for “best trick” from the Linking Ring Magic Magazine.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 years and younger.
