CENTERVILLE — The St. Mary Parish School Board will meet in special session Thursday at 5 p.m. at the central office complex in Centerville.
Topping the meeting agenda, the board will consider Superintendent Donald Aguillard’s recommendations for renewal of two-year administrative contracts.
Also on the agenda, the board will consider Aguillard’s recommendation to promote Ricky Armelin, director of human resources, to supervisor of human resources.
The board will also consider allowing applicants with principalship endorsements to apply for administrative positions, as well as giving permission to advertise for elementary guidance counselors with employment contingent upon award of federal grant monies.
In other business, the board will:
Consider revising job descriptions for principal and assistant principal.
Consider approval of elementary guidance counselor job descriptions and the revisions to the curriculum facilitator job description.
Consider authorizing the position of science program manager.
Monica Mancuso, supervisor of vocational education, will seek permission to employ 11 curriculum facilitators funded by federal sources.
